Today, Tuesday, the United Nations sent 90 trucks carrying humanitarian aid to Idlib Governorate.
According to Anadolu Agency, the aid convoy entered the Syrian territories, from the “Gilo Gozo” crossing in Hatay province, southern Turkey, opposite the “Bab al-Hawa” crossing from the Syrian side, and that humanitarian aid is to be distributed to the needy in Idlib and its countryside.
On Monday, the Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH) sent a truck loaded with humanitarian aid to the needy in Idlib Governorate, northwestern Syria.
The authority’s branch in the Turkish state of anlıurfa supervised sending trucks towards Syria at a ceremony held at the state’s headquarters, according to the Anadolu Agency.
In a speech during the ceremony, the head of the authority’s branch in the state, Bahjat Attila, explained that the aid was collected with the support of philanthropists.
Attila indicated that the aid includes clothes for needy families on the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Fitr, and stressed that the Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation was and will remain, the biggest supporter of the Syrian people.
The Bab al-Hawa crossing is the only internationally recognized gateway for the entry of humanitarian aid into the northwestern regions of Syria, after Russian pressure in the Security Council led to the closure of the rest of the crossings.
